Like a true Piscean, Keith has had the good fortune to swim many diverse streams within the art community in respect to his own creations. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a B.F.A. in painting in 1988, he relocated to Chicago and became employed by EinsteinDesign.
Originally a visual display company for the retailers of Oak street and Michigan avenue, it would branch out into designing commercial and residential interiors and later, production sets for commercials.
After the disbursing of the foresaid company, Keith traveled south to the warmer waters of Atlanta in 1993.
Taking with him the know- ledge of interiors, he embarked on several commercial spaces, like the now defunct Ying Yang Cafe and Club Kaya and more recently, The Albert and P’cheen Bistro, both in the old fourth ward. Keith has also worked with leading Atlanta interior designers and has been published in such magazines as Metropolitan Home, Trends, and Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles. With his love of whimsy, he started a website,kickshaw4kids, for hand painted children’s rooms.
He has also been involved with local theater, working on many of the sets of Kenny Leon/True color productions, including Fences, Rejoice, and The Wiz, to name a few. In 2005, Keith became part of the artistic team that create the unique interiors of the new House of Blues venues for Live Nation.
Recently, he has concentrated his endeavors on television and film production as a scenic artist. Within the currents of all this, Keith still finds time to work his own paintings and has exhibited in Atlanta, Augusta, Chicago, and New Orleans.
