Carey Carter is the co-owner Carter Barnes Hair Artisans located in Phipps Plaza and Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead.

Carey and his partners have worked for L’oreal for twenty five years promoting and testing new products, as well as lecturing and teaching new product development.

Carey and his partners have done shows for Vera Wang, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karen, and Calvin Klein to name a few.  Additonally, Carter Barnes regularly works with the Savannah College of Art and Design on many projects and has done all shows for the Atlanta Apparel Mart for 20 years.

Carey has co-chaired  for Jeffrey Fashion Cares, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer, Project Open Hand, Unicef, DIFFA, The Lyric Theater, and Murphy Harpst. Carey is much admired for his extensive philanthropic work in association with abused and foster children, and was recently awarded the Community Service Award by WXIA channel 11.
